Let’s talk about plants.

April is such a great time to watch plants: growing, blossoming, appearing suddenly from under the soil. Maybe you can try talking about it with your children?

* What is this?
leaves * flowers * stem * …
tree * shrub * grass * moss * herb * …
garden * lawn * park * forest * …

* Do you have any plants at home?
Inside the house or in the garden?
Who takes care of them?
How often should they be watered?
Is it in a pot or in the soil?

* What can you do with a plant?
watch the blossom * eat * plant * grow * …

The list above is not long. So if you want to hear more about plants, please DEFINITELY read “The Plant Sitter” by Margaret Bloy (there is a wonderful Japanese version of this book, too!).
