英語で読む: Trip to Europe. Part 2: Polish-German Border

After leaving Berlin, we went to the east to re-visit Frankfurt (Germany) and Slubice (Poland) – two towns on the two opposite banks of the river Oder (Ger) / Odra (Pol). The two towns, well separated by the border until some 10 or 20 years ago, are gradually getting closer to each other. Some people even say that it is actually only one town and call it Slubfurt…
Many Germans perceive Poland as a very distant country and they are reluctant to visit it. Click here to read a story of one Berliner who went on a trip to Slubice and to see some photos of the double town.

Homework
After reading the article (or some parts of it), write about your experience with crossing national borders (remember that even if Japan is an island country, you always cross its borders at the airport when traveling abroad!). Have you ever had any interesting, annoying, dangerous, or funny adventure when crossing borders?
